Looking Glass

How often do our perceptions match up to others perceptions? Of situations? Events? People? Themselves? Ourselves?
We live in a bubble. Even when our bubble is vulnerable, it still is there, shielding our perceptions, keeping them from being popped. I don't care who you are, you have your own perceptions. You see things differently than I do, and we see things differently than all the others.
I try, especially now, to keep my perception of myself as real and transparent as possible. I am human, and as such I don't like thinking that I am less or wrong anymore than anyone else likes to think that of themself. I feel genuine humility is a fine trait to have and I aspire to attain it.

Another side effect of too much time on my hands I suppose.
