Several days in bed and now I'm better.
Just woke up from dreams I didn't want to wake up from.
The first one I'll have to wait until I can pin down some of the details. The second one I really want to remember.
It started with two golems, they were owned by a store for the purpose of carrying groceries out to carriages or in the case of no carriage, following the purchaser and carrying them home for them. Also for protection of said purchaser. The world was kinda dark and seedy, so woman carrying hands full of bags home in the dark? No. A girl I used to be "friends" with was the start of this. I didn't like her when we were younger so it's weird that she was in this dream. She had bought groceries for the golem to carry home for her, because the golem would protect her when she got home where a man was waiting for her. I don't want to call this guy a pimp because he wasn't really but that was the first word that came to mind, but he had some kind of control over her, or felt he did, or it could have just been because he was an aggressive, domineering, abusive, asshole. There was supposed to be a knife hidden at the store, above the door, for her to rob the place, but it wasn't there and she hadn't wanted to rob it anyway. The knife was supposed to be in all realities, like show up just for her to grab, but the magic was done wrong and she couldn't even get it to show. So home she goes, not having robbed the place as ordered, which she wasn't going to do anyway, which is why the golem for protection. Cue threatening guy who grabs her and slams her against the door when he finds out she didn't have the money for him. The golem tries to protect her but the guy avoids its large sweeping swings. They are trashing the room at this point. Between the girl and guy fighting, her trying to get away, and the golem trying to protect her things are being knocked all over the floor. The guy makes several grabs to the top of the door frame, trying to get the knife to show before he finally manages it, and after she runs out the door, he guts her. The golem had failed to protect her and she dies.
