Journal-

The eleventh day of battle and the mosquitos have taken their toll. My training has gone beyond fighting myself, it now involves dodging the attempts made by a cloud of pesky insects in order to protect my juices. I will admit I have not been totally successful.

The lush vegetation and the humidity have also presented another challenge. The temperature is too hot to wear my cape, but I must wear it to keep myself somewhat dry from the daily rain. I have respect for the natives that still try to carry on their traditional way of life. It is not an easy one.

The forest is always awake at night, and the life that is awake is very alive. It's a decent challenge to meditate through it but I have gotten by. The one thing that really strikes me as being different, though, is the loss of seeing the sky. The rainforest world cages you in to itself and the sun is so strong during the day, that it's not worth flying up into the canopy. So my new challenge envelops me in darkness. So be it; I have always liked the dark anyways.
