OOC: Revisions WIP

Justification: Of all my muses, I enjoy playing Sora because I feel I just click with him or her. I enjoy watching Sora grow as a character. I am interested to see how Sora would grow in the environment presented in this roleplay, especially an alternate universe Sora who’s just lost her home and has been given a large amount of responsibility in the form of the Keyblade. She has a lot of growing up to do, and fast, and it is an interesting thing to see how a character grows and changes depending on the environment. And due to how much I enjoy playing Sora, I would really like to see how female!Sora would grow and change within the realm of this roleplay where she will not receive the same information or even the same skills.

Changes: Destiny Islands does not seem very large on gender roles. The biggest hint one even sees of this is in the school uniforms. While rivalries are more often seen amongst boys, this could be due to the ratio seen between the sexes on the Islands. In-game, we see four boys and two girls. We get a far larger picture of how boys act toward each other as opposed to the girls. Even then, Kairi is seen as taking charge and handing out the tasks when it comes to the raft. This suggests that it’s not all that odd that females are in charge. Little is known about Destiny Islands. Going by what is seen in-game, it seems the biggest issue on gender lines is clothing. Boys and girls freely play together, alone on a separate island without adult supervision and it seems to have always been this way. Selphie even knows how to fight like the rest of the boys. Kairi’s own wielding of the Keyblade in the second game implies she knows how to, as well, since she seems to be of the same skill level when Sora started wielding his own Keyblade. The only complaint that can be seen as showing gender lines is when Selphie talks about Tidus and Wakka being wrapped up in a game they’re making, which is hardly something exclusive to sexes. Sora and Riku’s in-game rivalry hardly seems to be over Kairi, as they state in the ending of the second game that they wanted to be like the other. Kairi is simply something they had in common that they could be rivals over without admitting their own envy. To this end, Sora has hardly changed. She dislikes the girls' uniforms due to her own active lifestyle which includes fights with wooden swords. Selphie is the only one seen consistently wearing any form of skirt or dress, as even Kairi wore shorts underneath her wrap when the season was right for heading over to the play island. Female!Sora’s own clothing style is a bit more baggy for comfort as opposed to form-fitting. This is also because she is self-conscious of her own boyish frame, and has led to her being frustrated with the fact that she can often be mistaken as a boy.

Personality Changes:

Sora as a girl experiences some gender confusion due to Ven’s heart within her own. In canon, Sora is shown as sometimes channeling Ven-saying similar or the exact same lines or standing in similar stances. This has led Sora as a girl to seek out more boyish clothing--subconsciously, she is somewhat confused due to channeling Ventus at times (who, in her universe, is still male). The Islands also call for a much more active lifestyle, especially as Sora is shown as being a highly energetic child. Even in canon, Sora is shown running where Riku slowly walks. He then fidgets while waiting for his father to come and pick them up. And energetic lifestyle where the primary way children are shown as fighting to expend energy means skirts are less likely. As pointed out in changes, Selphie is the only one seen consistently wearing a skirt or dress while Kairi wears shorts under her wrap on the play island.
