Love the distinction of the Devil's grin and the uncle's, and what it means. <3

The foods are fascinating. I'd like to sample all of them. I imagine you'd DIE. *sad*

:)

I think I'd survive the breads, but yeah, just about everything else would SLAY me. The boraki, boeregs or mujaddara might be okay--would depend strongly on how they flavoured the meat fillings on the first two and how they flavoured the lentils on t'other. But sausage, pastrami and layered lamb and eggplant fill me with terror. WHEE! say the spices.

I'm reasonably sure that at this point in the arc they're actually in Armenia, so it's just they're eating the local productions... :)

*dry* I tentatively assigned her a name?

their family is awesome, and now i am hungry for all sorts of food that is at least an hour away. =|

-as the First claims neither of them are actually food--" she rolled her eyes towards the ceiling, and Julian could swear she heard a crow call somewhere nearby. "--yershig, boraki and basturma. He does think mujaddara is food, so that's almost certainly gone.

*ded of giggling* living with First must be so Interesting.

Armenia. :)

It's pretty sketchy, still--I need to know what she's reporting to her uncle, if nothing else. =|

Deliberately mimicking her father's type of behaviour.

I think some of the warmth is being in company she likes, here--the process of getting her from where-ever she landed TO this city is going to be just as chilly as her initial introduction, I suspect. Will have to try it and see.
