oof. brutal. madness, and hello, the goddess, surrounded by crows. IMAGERY.

She let a crow sitting in the tree outside the window give her reply for her, though she grinned through the brief cackle of corvid laughter.

nice.

and the sword she rarely used but carried anyway.

any significance to the blade, or is it just there, just in case it's needed?

Just there, in case it's needed. Loses the scythe, too small a space for it, that kind of thing. It's also her uncle's weapon of choice, much as a scythe is her father's and hers, and sickles the Morrigan's.

I think it's an indication of increased deity-presence, as they're in relatively populated areas in relative lowlands, so ratio of crows to ravens is generally heavily skewed to crows.

*cheerful!* Or I could be extending north american tendencies to europe and be completely offbase and need to revise! :D
