There's apparently a contingent of traders who come through who really, really resemble human-size-and-roughly-human-shaped frogs. I have no idea. *hands*

My problem was being raised in several different portions of the Northeast corridor. The fuckery gets more and more impressive (and nasal) the further north you go until the general populace starts speaking French. Fuck Rs anyway.

Andeliin's a dimensional crossroads; think...kind of like The Long Earth? Only the book covers how things could have BEGUN, and Andeliin is very, very old. They get all types there, for all kinds of reasons, and under the Current Administration (Rhynn's, at the time of this post) as long as you aren't kidnapping/killing the citizenry or overtly fucking anyone over, you're welcome to come in, trade whatever, pick an empty building and take it over or set up a shop/stall wherever.

and yah. one of the trade groups are kinda froglike. Which may make more sense when you know that much of the native life in Andeliin and vicinity is reptilian, or near-reptile evolutions, like birds.
