Glad I waited
I've been intending for some time to write a post about why I support the so-called "public option" in health care reform, that is, a government-run insurance program that would be available to everyone, either directly or through their employers if the employer couldn't afford or was too small for private insurance coverage. But, this morning, the DK posted a cartoon that explains my position perfectly, clearly, and succinctly. It's not because I have a personal horror story or think that our country has some sort of moral imperative to do so, or because we're the laughingstock of the industrialized world for not doing so. But, I'll let Andy Lubershane do the 'splaining.
