From the blog "As Time Goes By: Celebrating the Native peoples of Australia through their music. Years ago, I tried to get into covering film here in SF. A famous Australian director was doing the rounds, promoting his latest film. Since he used a lot of native Aboriginal actors in his films, I asked if they were professional actors. I was told, with a sneer, not to be so bloody stupid. Well, mate, guess what. You were the stupid, sexist, racist one.
