sometimes on a plane
I am grading again. Papers papers papers - I love it and it requires sustained focus to read, react, provide meaningful feedback while challenging them to delve further in the subject
so every now and then I need to take a time out or the quality of my response to them drops -
so - today i turn to LJ -
I spent a glorious few hours this am cooking a feast for tonight's gathering of dungeon delvers -
I am quite proud of the outcome it smells and looks yummalicious
except the cake, which is only mediocre - why are from scratch cakes so @#*!@&*# hard to make?
I think it is partly my old, small, broken again electric oven
and I think it is something I am doing or not doing -
I am determined to master it though
and I can make fine icing...
