Yesterday I met up with my Grandma at her local shopping mall, for an outing. Since my Aunt moved away, Grandma doesn't really have anyone to go shopping with, so she just tends to watch to much T.V. all day. :(
So I thought it would be fun to meet her at the mall, since it's right next to the skytrain station in Coquitlam. My Aunt says that Grandma really loves to go to Ihop for lunch and Granpa never wants to with her, so that was our first stop! She got this massive omelet that her poor little senior sized stomch could only take half of and I got my usual cheese blintzes. MMMMmmm.
Thwn we headed out into the mall for window shopping, and amuzing commentary on the state of today's fashion, brought to you by Grandma..."That girl looks like a prostitute!" Yes, grandma, yes, she does. I was trying to find a pair of inexpensive dress pants to round out my school wardrobe.( I'm hoping they will let us wear jeans too, though.) We went to Walmart which naturally did not have my size, then made it over to Reitman's and I met with sucess! Grandma decided that I should then become a life-sized doll which she could play dress up with. lol. She has pretty good taste actually. None of it was really my "style" necessaril;y but everything she picked out looked nice and was flattering on me. She got me a "proffesional lady" sweater. It's got argyle on the front.lol.
After the fashion show, we ran some errands, then went back to her house, so I could hang out with Grandpa for a bit. It was hot out back, so we shut the back door and went out front to kick it old school on the stoop. We fed Grandma's friendly neighborhood crow, and ate banana cake with ice cream, much to the amusement of passersby.
When I got back to the White Rock, my lady pal, Jessica collected me to go to a barbeque, where we commenced to drink an entire bottle of yummy tart ros'e, an then about half a bottle of yummy syrupy, white Yellow Tail. Danced like a fool to unfamiliar music, and maybe busted out some Justin Bieber. Shocked all my fellow co-workers who have never conversed with me. In fact most did not recognise me in my street clothes!
I think I got home at 12:30 AM the latest I've been out in YEARS! And I even went to sleep with my makeup on!!
I'm looking forward to my week off, even though I'm not going home to visit my family. Maybe I'll get some baking in!!
