Can I Make It Unhappen?
In March last year, a story broke in local news that a badly burned body had been found under a bridge on Vancouver Island. Evidence was quickly collected, and the body identified as Kim Proctor, age 18. Three months later, arrests were made. ArrestS. The killers were two boys aged 16 and 17, who had gone to school with Kim.
Since last week, the case has been in the news again, because the boys had been convicted of first-degree murder after pleading guilty in October. They showed no remorse and thought that killing Kim would be "fun". Because they were under age the courts were trying to decide whether to sentance them as youth or adults.
Last night, I heard that they have been sentanced to life in prison with no chance of parole for ten years. They were sentanced as adults, so the publication ban on their identities has been llifted.

I feel relieved. I think that the correct descision was made.
But it does not bring Kim back.
I don't understand why.
