Harlen probably gets the van back tomorrow. BUT because it's registered as a business vehicle he has to pay the HST on the repairs up front. :( Which is supposed to be somewhere in the area of $800. BOO.
His sisters have been absolute life savers. Generously lending us money. This has to be the LAMEST November I've ever experienced. With the exception of my B-day, which rocked.
Poor Harlen is just overwhelmed when he thinks about how much in debt he is. But he gets annoyed when ppl say "at least you have your health!" Which I agree with 100%, but he's so so stressed he's making himself ill over it. I want to say it can get worse. Just to stop his brooding, but it won't help.
And it COULD BE worse. Things are not good right now. But we are VERY lucky. We have enough to eat, we have running water, and we DO have our health. Nobody's got cancer... or CF.
Seeing Eva and her family deal with illness and general shit has made me so zen.
