Well, school started back up today. Whoopdedoo. I slept through two of four classes, go me. I already have a page of kanji to memorize, 4 chapters to read, and 2 papers and a quiz due Thursday, so this semester is already shaping up nicely x3. They seem like pretty cool classes though, I'm kind of excited about a couple of them.

My humanities teacher is like.. this tiny old lady that totally reminds me of my highschool english teachers and totally not of any professor I've had in college, but the whole class is like "let's read this novel. let's just have class in this museum on this day. let's bring in someone from the theatre department and have him coach us in acting out this 19th century play. go to this opera and get class credit for it. your final can totally be just playing a piece of 19th century music for the class" and I'm just like.. aw this'll be fun x3.

Japanese actually sounds like it'll be easier this semester-- only 1 quiz per week instead of two. The room is weirdly shaped, which I don't like, but it has an amazing view of downtown DC, you can see the Washington Monument right out the window. It was kind of funny in class today.. we walk in, and Hanami-sensei starts calling roll, and when he's done, he's like "is there anyone's name I didn't call?" and this kid in the back's like "uh yeah, me?" and hanami-sensei's like, "are you registered for the class?" and the kid's like "uh, I think so, this is English 71 right?" And then there's dead silence in the room for a second, and then the entire class just cracks up laughing. I felt kind of bad for the poor kid x3, he and another girl got up and like.. fled from the room. And then, once class had started, we read this little like.. one page dinky story that even I (and I am *definitely* not one of the best students in the class) had no problems with, and the kid's like "Uh. I thought this was going to be a class in translation." And Hanami-sensei's like.. "uh. no. 'Readings IN modern Japanese' is exactly what it sounds like" and the kid just gets up and leaves XD and Hanami-sensei's just like, in a sinister voice 'And then there were twelve...' ... I guess it was funnier at the time, but it just seemed like the class size was dropping by the minute XD

I slept through Gender in Anthropology, but even in her emails the prof seems like a femnazi. And I slept through Astronomy 2 but it sounds like it's going to be even easier than Astro 1, if that were even possible. Oh well.. my first class tomorrow isn't until 1, so there's no way I can sleep through the damn thing :p

anyway. enough school. BALLS IKKI IS SO SOOOON @_______x
