All hail Nagase!(part 2)
This is a post about his dramas/movies Unubore Deka,Yanpapa,Utahime,Yaji and Kita,Futari and Miporin no Ekubo so if you haven't watched them don't click the cut.It might contain many spoilers inside.
Dramas
So I finished Unubore Deka.OF COURSE IT WAS AMAZING,FLAWLESS,FANTASTIC,HILARIOUS BECAUSE GOD KUDO KANKURO WROTE THE SCRIPT.I think this is the first time I fangirl over a screenwriter.But the guy is A FREAKING GENIOUS!He even wrote Ryusei no Kisuna,one of my favourite dramas.He wrote Tiger & Dragon and Yaji & Kita.When I finish every drama/film starring Nagase I will download ALL of his works.Anyway let's go back to Nagase.As I said in a previous entry Nagase's character is so pitiful XD.But when he transforms to the smart detective with the white suit and the glowing hair HE IS SEXY ΚΙ ΟΠΟΙΟΣ ΑΝΤΕΞΕΙ!The way he disconnects his earphone is very unique that's why I copy it everytime I carry the mp4 with me XD.There is a scene when Nagase and his gang are talking about something I can’t remember right now and suddenly they start singing the opening theme of Long Vacation starring KimuTaku.Nagase was singing and dancing and I was loling so hard!Overall the story was pretty much the same in every episode except the last two.But it wasn’t boring at all.The characters and the cases were very interesting.I loved Mika Nakashima!She played Nagase’s ex girlfriend who got married to his partner in work(also a detective).At some point I didn’t want her to have a happy ending with him because it was obvious that Unubore loved her more and she hurt him a lot but the last episode changed my mind.The whole wedding set was excellent.This is another good thing about Kudo.The last episode of every series he wrote is always unpredictable and emotional and somehow it reminds me of what is called “catharsis” in ancient greek tragedies.
Then I watched Yanpapa or Young Father.The title says it all.Nagase falls for a 40-year-old manga artist and he wants to marry her.She has three kids and she want them to accept Nagase as their father so they can live as a happy family.BUT she died the same day they got married.That’s such a bad luck girl!So Nagase decided to make her dream come true and be a true father to her kids.The funny thing is that 25-year-old Nagase becomes dad of a 17-year-old girl,a 13-year-old girl and the cutest 7-year-old boy.Can anyone imagine this?No.Also the 17-year-old girl is Goto Maki @_@
Anyway,it is a quite good dorama.Nagase and Junnosuke are pure love <33333.He is so adorable when he calls him “Yusaku!” and runs to hug him everytime.Or when he askes him to bathe together.Kawaiiiiiiiii!The last episode was so touching.And scenes in other episodes were very touching because of Junnosuke.I cried a lot!
Utahime.I knew that Nagase and Ohkura were starring.I knew that Aibu Saki was also starring.I knew that Nagase and Aibu are together in real life (but I’m not sure about it because I read somewhere that they broke up).Let me explain my view.I had no problem of watching two actors who are/were together in real life to play in the same series.But I hate her.As an actress.Her roles in Absolute Boyfriend and Buzzer Beat made me hate her so much!So when I heard that she was Nagase’s girlfriend I was SO disappointed.THERE ARE ONE HUNDRED GIRLS WHO ARE BETTER THAN HER NAGASE WHY DID YOU CHOOSE HER?I mean Ayumi was awesome,flawless,talented,cute.She had everything.And you chose Saki after Ayumi.R U KIDDING ME?Well it’s not that Ayumi made the best choice.This white guy can’t even reach Nagase in terms of everything.
Well I watched the first episode and since then,five days passed without watching another video with Nagase.Who?ME!The one that watches series with Nagase without a pause.I still haven’t watched the second episode and I don’t know what to do.Should I continue another series?

Yaji and Kita.OMG
This is the weirdest Japanese film I’ve ever watched.
I’m serious.
It’s a yaoi film and Nagase shares two kisses with his partner.He is hot even when he kisses men!!!I can’t tell much about the story because it looks like science-fiction,comedy,historic and….well everything.The creator is god Kudo.That’s why this movie is so weird.I think he put everything he had in mind,every crazy situation he ever thought to this film.In the beginning the story is a little complicated but in the end everything is cleared.Of course there are parts of catharsis I believe.I can’t stand those traditional Japanese haircuts.Many actors who starred in Kudo’s dramas also perform.It’s nice to watch the same people in different characters.I think I liked the film overall because of the weird stuff and the hilarious scenes.
I found by accident Miporin no Ekubo,another Nagase’s movie.I was searching for this movie in lj and d-addicts but I couldn’t find it anywhere.One day I found it in dramacrazy and I watched it with english subtitles of course.It was a story of a little girl who suffered from an illness in her brain.Nagase was playing her father.He still wasn’t quite convincing even though he was 30-something when the movie was shot.But the girl was 11(?) and he had an older daughter who was 17.WHAT?This time they were blood related.His role wasn’t that important.The focus of the film was the child and her mum.It was a dramatic film but I didn’t cry at all.Actually it was rather boring.I have already watched many movies like this one so I wasn’t moved by the tears,the pain etc.It was his most recent work (2010) so I’m waiting for something new this year.Don’t let me down Nagase!
Last but not least,Futari.It’s a TV film which was broadcasted during 24 hours telebi.I found a link on lj but there weren’t any subs,so I searched in d-addicts and I found it.It took more time to download because of torrent but I had other things to watch so…Yesterday I saw that the movie was uploaded with subs on lj >.< The film is about a married couple whose life changed suddenly.Nagase plays the husband who had a serious accident and he wasn’t able to walk anymore.His wife tries to cheer him up,to fight her parents because they want her to divorce him and the society.I liked it because the thoughts and the actions of a disabled person were so realistic.As well as the wife’s and the parents behavior.I was shocked at same point.Who else played?The guy(I can’t remember his name right now) who played Oscar in Hana Kimi and Nezu-chin in Mei-chan.He is so young and handsome in the film.I wonder when it was shot.
It will take me some time to write part 3 because I’m stuck to Utahime.But I’ve got lots of Nagase dramas to watch.I wonder what will happen when I finish them all.I’ll become depressed.
