Thought Bubbles
Quick reminder of a few things.
1. Yours truly is going to be on telly. Again. Yes, this may get boring. "Oh look, bloody nalsa is doing cookery shows again and going on about it online, blah blah blah. Let's pelt him with eggs." Anyway: Tuesday 22nd September, 5pm, ITV1 sees the edition of Britain's Best Dish that I appear in. Is it the only one? No, it's not. I also appear on Friday 25th (and depending on the edit, so will myfirstkitchen, jofox15 and Daag WINOLJ, albeit briefly), same time and channel. And at some point in the future, too; I have no idea when finals week is on - guessing mid-October - but I'm there, too.
2. Thought Bubble, aka Leeds Comic Con, is on Saturday 21st November. I presume fetishman is exhibiting (Geof, do you need a sellingwallah?), but even if he isn't Bryan Talbot is (excellent; I can get my copy of Luther Arkwright signed and pick up a signed copy of Grandville!) as well as the ever delightful Jon Allison. Plus some other comics guys. I only really go to these things for the small press people, you know, and to see if Jared is flogging any cheap stuff. Quick tip: buying tickets on the door can be faster than buying them in advance, because you have to queue at the door either way. If you want to go to the afterparty, though: get them in advance.
3. Leeds Light Night is on October 9th. Once again, I failed to get anything in through not having time to put the proposals together in time. Regardless, this is going to be funner than anything else happening on a Friday night in town, and then some. Temple Works is having an event that you need to book for - but I'll find out more details about that later on this week. The rest of it will be stunning; it is always, always worth turning out for.
