Social networking sucks. Nobody networks. I feel that people use all these 'status updates' as a way to communicate real feelings and ideas to specific individuals without having to actually address the individuals themselves. It's like a secret mystery game; if the person with whom you'd like to communicate with happens to read these updates, and also happens to be thinking about you, they get to play the "are you talking about meeeee?" game. This isn't a fun game. It's not Jenga. It's not Twister. It's almost as bad as Monopoly. It is "I'm too afraid of feeling real, honest rejection by another human and am therefore providing breadcrumbs to my heart. Good luck, fucker." I know I play this game far more than I should. What happens if it's the wrong person playing the game? What happens if the right person gets too confused to follow up? Fucking Christ, just come out with it. I know I wish I would.
