Water Births
Ok, I am watching "A Baby Story" and yet again I see another couple who have been suckered into this IDIOTIC idea of a "Water birth".
Listen folks, this is a LUDICROUS and UNSAFE idea. WE ARE NOT FISH!!
Yes, the baby is in water INSIDE the pregnant woman, but this is MEANT to cease upon entry into the world. The natural phisiology of birth, where upon the child goes through the birth canal, SQUEEZES the chest and the lungs in order to EMPTY them of water in preparation for the first inhalation of air. Yes, people, God, in his wisdom saw to it that the lungs were cleansed of water so that the child could inhale AIR upon entry into the world. Now if you are giving birth to your baby in WATER that first breath could be ....yes, water. Yea, that is what you want to do, give the child pneumonia upon his entry into the world.
Really whoever thought of this idea should be shot, and anyone who promotes it should be jailed.
