The "Sunday evening" entry...on Monday evening:

This weekend was nice. Real nice. I normally don't like it when I ask people what they did over a weekend or a vacation, and all they tell me is, "I slept," but that's really what I did this weekend. Along with the perfect blend of the SIMS and AIM conversations, of course. So each day I woke up at around 10, maybe 10:30, and was asleep on futon for a two-hour nap by 4, no fail. Oh yeah, I also went on errands (including Barnes & Noble for AP review books), read the first 40 pages of my Spanish one, and cut up and binded a whole ton of corrugated cardboard boxes as a favor for my mom (with a little monetary compensation, of course). All in all, a great weekend.

Thanks to Clem for being a good sport about Saturday night. The two of us talked for about an hour and a half online (which could have condensed to 15 minutes on the phone), just trying to make plans to do something...anything! At certain points along the way, we had various people with us...then we mentioned lazer tag and they were all scared away. :-/ So it was just the two of us. I was worried that Clem wouldn't want to do anything anymore. I couldn't remember the last time we went out just him and me; he seems to go for the extravagant, large-group outings. But, to my surprise, he agreed to go play lazer tag with me, and to drive nonetheless.

The upshot is that we went to the misnomered "Smiles" in Milford to find out that we'd have to wait over an hour for a spot to play, and that we wouldn't be guaranteed one if there weren't enough players at that time, so we left. We weren't so bummed, since we really wanted to go play LaserQuest with a group of friends instead of the two of us, so we agreed on another time. For sure. Going back to Hamden, Krispy Kreme just happened to be on the way to the Meritt, so we stopped by. We originally planned to get a half-dozen, but the lady asked, "Do you want a whole dozen for only a dollar fif-" "Okay!" Clem exclaimed, and we methodically selected our pretties. ;-) So, twenty minutes and four scrumptious doughnuts (each!!!) later, we found ourselves at the pool hall for an hour of 8-ball and 9-ball play. Good times were had.
