Title: Yellowcard - Empty Apartment
Summary - AU. This one is a little different from what I do, it kind of has two stories with it. One has flashbacks and one has present time. It starts off with Brooke walking and crying and than the flashbacks show you that since Keith has died, Karen needs to get away, out of TH and Lucas has to leave with her. In the flashback Lucas tells Brooke that he has to leave and Brooke can't handle it. But being apart is too much for them, it's hurting like hell. Before Lucas left they made love for one last time, knowing that this was probably going to be it. But with Lucas being gone it's too much for Brooke, so she leaves too. She meets a new friend and gets straight into the party scene. But when Brooke realize TH was too much for her and left, Lucas realize been apart was too much for him and came back without knowing she was gone. While Lucas comes home, Brooke realize this scene just isn't her. When Lucas arrives back at TH, he finds Peyton instead of Brooke. Brooke comes home, but Lucas grows closer to Peyton while Brooke is gone. When Brooke comes home she finds no Lucas and she finds out while she was gone her "boyfriend" has gotten a lot closer to Peyton, it tears Brooke apart. She realize that she never knew she needed Lucas in her life this much. She doesn't know what to do and neither does Lucas because he wants her back, but he knows he has hurt her way too much. Will he fix the problem and go back to her?
