I do not have Asperger's Syndrome. Never claimed to. I know people who do, genuinely, and see the sorts of social mistakes they have to deal with, and the lives they have to lead by necessity.
So it really pisses me the hell off when some scrub on a MUSH tries to use it as an excuse for a bad idea or stupid behavior. Especially when it's fairly blatant that they're talking out their ass. I don't know anyone who ACTUALLY suffers from it who even thinks to use it as an excuse for 'that's a stupid idea', it's just the way they are, not a handy thing to blame whenever it's convenient.
So all this 'explanation' for such an idiotic suggestion has gained is a sudden terminal drop in my interest in ever interacting with the individual in question.
HELPFUL HINT: 'Lol I have asperger's syndrome!' is NOT a good, or even remotely acceptable excuse for 'That's a bad idea why would you even want to do that, it's not funny'. You insult people who actually suffer from it, and make it much harder for those people to get the sort of acceptance and tolerance THEY'RE due.
