Well, I was happy up until yesterday. First thing in the morning, it's a day off, and the weather's not too bad outside. I slowly get ready and check on my rats, only to find one of them not moving (they were all asleep in a ball as they usually are, but one didn't seem to be breathing). Aww, I'm so sorry Andy. Sounds to me like they were poisoned though, because all three of them dying at the same time almost? That's just a bit too much of a coincidence...

Yes, that's what's confusing me most of all about this - for all of them to end up the same way, within 24 hours or less? It's VERY weird, and I have no idea what's caused it :( It's not like they were very old either.

I told Karen about it and she said it might also be a virus or something.
I dunno. Whatever it was, it's a sad thing to have happen.

The weirdest thing is, whilst I love my cats and look after them, I took extra special care of my rats. I made sure I played with them from time to time, got used to their little habits, spent time with them .... when one of the cats picked up a couple of fleas I took extra special care to ensure that the rats didn't end up with them too. And despite taking the best care of them I could and spending all that time, it didn't do any good *sighs* Whatever happened, it sucks.
