Okay, so living in Ohio.

Working for the same place that employs my roommate, at least on a temporary basis. My job is to unfuck the inventory and the paperwork that goes into ordering and tracking parts.

Since no one has kept track of anything, at ALL, since this place opened (roommate's been there since last April and that was when it started to take off), it's a sprocking NIGHTMARE.

Seriously. I have no idea how anyone does anything. But! I started to develop a plan to organize from the ground up, at which point I was told that we were getting advice from a consultant (sort of, is the owner's little brother, who does this kind of thing for a living and is very good at it).

The awesome part of it is that I said, "This is how I want to start" and he said, "That's exactly right." So that's obviously fantastic.

Then he started talking about further steps, which I hadn't even begun to consider. (This is why he's helping. I don't know what I'm doing.) So that's been going on all week, and I've been told that my job description includes yelling at anyone and everyone in the office upstairs until they do what I want them to do for stuff to get done. (I'm not allowed to yell at any of the mechanics, though.)

So far, so good.
