You know I sense some mentions of a certain person in this meme. I wonder who she is...Do I know her? ;-)
This is me boggling again *boggles*. I mean WOW. Such a diverse collection of stories and across such fandoms too. The list for each fandom would be impressive but all together WOW. And NCIS - that is what I call a list! 172, you could have nearly done FF100 twice over. *more boggling*
I have said it possibly several times but I will say it again. I thought your crackfic was excellent (I stumbled across a conversation we had about what crackfic was last week as we tried to figure out what it was *giggles* oh those were the days).
I also was very impressed with Finding a Way. I think you did so well with that story and I know how hard it was for you to write. It was a very good story indeed. And everybody should read it.
I've loved your dS fic, even the angsty stuff, because angst can be good. I've enjoyed all of it.
I am now off to read A Dog's Life because Lacey in NCIS? Oh yes.
You know, I think you might know her. She's a lovely, caring, helpful, kind, encouraging person who loves penguins and cats and whose names begins with 'A'.
*Smiles* Thank you. It had me boggling, I can tell you! It was fun to try out some different fandoms - if I hadn't created 12_stories I wouldn't have written in anywhere near as many fandoms, because once I'd done one for some pairings I was tempted to go on and do others. I don't feel they are fandoms in the way that NCIS, DS, Pros, MFU & SS are fandoms, but I've had a lot of fun writing them
( ... )
Awwww well she;s blushing right now I know that. I have a lot in common with her it seems :-)
I'm not surprised you bogggled. And I have to say I think 12_stories was one of your more brilliant ideas :-) And if it;s given you fun that makes it even better.
The best crackfic in my experience you never really know where it comes from. That's what makes it so much fun. I am so glad we worked out what crackfic was.
You are very welcome. It was a privilege to read such a good story. And I am glad you;re pleased with it - you should be :-)
I do like it. I find your take on the characters does match my own which is ownderful. Plus you deal with fixits well.
Have read and I was sitting here with a huge grin on my face.
*Smiles* Aww, thank you. I'm rather pleased with it - and it certainly seemed to fill a niche in the market. Oh, yes. (I'm already thinking of signing up to do two more for me *sigh* Well I haven't got any left for longer F/V, B/D, S/S and N/I stories; plus there is this het issue!).
Ah, well you should know. Me too.
Thank you.
*Nods* We do pretty much agree - which is what also makes reading your stories an absolute pleasure. Why thank you so much.
Thank you again; I am so glad it made you smile. What a star, eh?
Wow Nikki! That's amazing and what an impressive job you did! I don't have to tell you how thorough you are, do I? *giggle*
I've found 2 more fics I wrote in 2007 but hey, I don't care. (but it does mean that I wrote 23 fics, instead of 21 LOL)
I've bookmarked a few fics, so I can read them when I can. I'm too out of touch with fandom. Well, NCIS fandom and other fandoms that is.
One of my resolutions is to write more in 2008 so who knows? I want to beat the 23 fics and hopefully the 34 fics I wrote in 2006. (And finish what I've started in 2005(?) (MFU AU) and beta my own 2003 work of the Pretender (I had a fit of giggles that I wrote "builder" instead of "boulder"...) and .... am driving myself nuts here.)
And thank you again - I know other folk write outside their comfort zone by putting their pairing with other people, but I can't do that. But I do like to challenge myself at times - it's good to do so. Ah, yes, the crack!fic *giggle* Oh, he did. He certainly did.
I'm so amazed, and awed, by your prolific writing. As you know, I choose your MFU stories first, but I don't think I've read them all. I think I'd better put this on my New Year's resolution list - to read them, and send you a note about each.
One thing I know is this: your strength is writing touching, moving pieces that make the reader feel the emotion of the character. You commented that you're not happy with the length of the stories you wrote this year. My immediate reaction is this: Nikki, I can't think of another writer who can make me laugh, or cry, or just plain stop and have to stare out the window and think about what I've just read, as you can, with 100 carefully chosen words.
I know you need no encouragement to continue writing. Writing, for you, is like breathing. Which of your bunnies is in charge of the longer stories? I'll send her some alfalfa and carrot tops.
Happy New Year, to you, my dear friend. **CLINKS** glass - slosh - oops, sorry, that's my enthusiasm bubbling over:)
*Swallows hard* Thank you for your kind and touching words; they really mean a lot to me. I am so pleased to hear that I can touch someone in so many ways in so few words, I really am. Thank you.
Yes, that is pretty much the truth, Annie. It is indeed like breathing. It's very helpful to me and very enjoyable. Carrot tops and alfalfa are much appreciated - thank you.
And a very Happy New Year to you too, my dear friend. *Clinks glasses*
I am boggled...firstly by the sheer amount ( and i only read three of your fandoms --NCIS, MFU and MASH) the wonderful quality of the stories ( not a bad one in the lot) and the meticulous record keeping ( i can't even balance my check-book) Congratulations on a grand year.
as a side meme...one of the few highlights of my 2007 (okay the Mackinac race was another) was finding and becoming apart of this comm. I have had vast amounts of fun reading amd writing stories... Here's to a bunny filled 2008 for all! *er..no i am not going to burst into Auld Lang Syne*
*Smiles* I'm boggled too - I really am. And I keep a spreadsheet (or three) going which I update each time I post a story (do I hear the word 'anal'? *g*)
Thank you so much for your over-whelming praise 'not a bad one in the lot', that is so kind of you. I'm delighted you think so *Hugs*
One of the high-points of 2007 was 'meeting' and getting to know you. I am so glad that you found the G/D Comm, wrote such lovely stories, participated in more than just writing and last but not at all least becoming a good friend. *Hugs*

Yay for finding fics, and you should be pleased with the number you've written.
I hope you enjoy what you read - I know how much Lee has taken over your life and how much fun you are having with his 'world', I'm pleased for you.
I always enjoy and look forward to your stories, so I hope we will see some more Anita fics.
Now breathe, breathe ;-))

Drat, I have! He's inhabiting my MP3 player!
Anyway, I promise I'll do better with fics next year:D (Hoping that I won't get another case of writers block!)
And I am pleased with the amount I've written. I was quite surprised really, considering I had some writers blocks...

*Bounces in anticipation* Given you had writer's block, you turned out a great number and some lovely stories to boot.
You should be.

Congrats!
Also, congrats on writing outside your comfort zone, especially the crack fic. That was so funny, and you have to admit Gibbs deserved it.
*hugs*
I hope 2008 will be another good year for you fic and fandom wise.
