Christmas Pretties Day 23
I like the simplicity and the old-fashioned feel of this picture.
The fact that most of the Christmas scene is outside the house is quite unusual. The tree; the lantern (that especially looks old-fashioned; the small sledge filled with presents; the green wreath on the red door; the snow on the ground and also on the tree; even the green wellies, all give it such a warm, Christmas feel. I also like the way the bricks under the window have a 3D effect to them. And finally the lighted candles inside the cottage.
It is a very happy making scene.
