NO COMPROMISE
"For heaven's sake, Neil, won't you ever compromise?" Peele shouted.
Neil said nothing.
"We'll see what 'C' has to say!"
"You go. I'm going to the shop. I need cigarettes." Neil strode out of the room.
Rain streamed down the window, so he decided to go to the hutch and cadge from Willie.
"Hey, boss. What did Peele have to say?"
Neil took a cigarette from the packet on Willie's desk. "He's gone to talk to 'C'."
Willie grinned. "I doubt he's going to nominate you for employee of the month."
Neil shrugged and lit both his and Willie's cigarettes.
