Soo you've read it before? I love it when I don't remember everything about a book I'm rereading. It adds to the suspense. And I love snowbound stories. There's just something about being trapped in the snow, for whatever reason, that heightens the tension.
Oh, yes. I've read the vast majority of AC's books at least once before.
I tend not to remember that much about books I read. As you say not remembering does add to the suspense. Now, J is quite different; he remembers books in great detail. He'll often say 'did you remember xxxx in yyyy'? And of course I don't. Or at least I might have a vague memory, but he can quote and remember in detail!
I agree being trapped in the snow does indeed heighten the tension, no matter what kind of book it is.
This sounds like a good one. I do wish the Kindle versions of her books weren’t quite so expensive, but I’ll keep this in mind for next time I want to splurge.

It's an excellent review of a splendid book. As for the culprit . . . Well, yes.
And you are so right about the humour in AC's books.
I am really enjoying my re-delve into her standalones; they are so very good.

As much as I like both characters, there are times when the books are a little more samey.
It is a shame her Kindle versions are fairly high in price.
