Head down, Tony hurried into the squad room. He sat down at his desk, turned on his computer, and immediately started typing. He didn't look at Tim.
Tim frowned. This wasn't Tony's usual morning routine. "Is something wrong, Tony?"
Tony didn't look up. "No. Why?"
"It's just you -"
"Didn't behave like an idiot? Didn't expect you to do all the work while I messed about on websites?"
Tim stood up and hurried over to Tony. "What's happened, Tony?"
"Nothing."
"Tony!"
"I overheard Clout and Fisher. They said you'd said . . . Things about me."
Tim put his hand on Tony's shoulder. "And you believe them? Do you really think I'd say that?"
Tony finally looked at Tim. "I dunno. You have said things like that."
"Yes, I have, Tony. But I've said them to you; as a joke. I wouldn't say them to anyone else."
Tony looked at him. "So you don't think I'm an idiot?" His eyes gleamed.
"I wouldn't go that far - Ow." Tim grinned and rubbed his arm. "Anyway, if you don't look at the websites and tell me about them, where do I get my daily fix from?"
Tony beamed. "Grab that chair, we'll look through them together."
