I didn't manage 3:30 a.m, although I was awake at the time and did have a quick look at my iPad to see where they were at in the schedule and saw that Rafa would indeed be playing around about 4:00 a.m. (my time). However, I decided I really wasn't feeling up to being awake quite so early - not even for Rafa :-)
At 5:00 I felt more awake and so did settle down to watch his match. I thought for a moment I might be doing my 'curse' as before I started to watch he was 6:0, 3:0 up and as I started to watch he faced break points. However, from my point of view it all turned out well and he ran away with the second set winning that 6:1 with the third going to a tie-break, in which he prevailed, despite Tomas Berdych having the first mini-break of serve.
So my day started well - although I was somewhat disappointed that one of my favourite ladies (Angelique Kerber) went out, very tamely going by the scoreboard. Although other of my favourite ladies (Petra Kvitova) did go through safely. So more good than bad so far.
