He is awesome indeed, I wish we'd had a bit more Ripper at times and a bit less whump however. The show definitely lost something for me in S6 when he sort of left.

More Ripper could have been interesting. Oh, I agree, it was the same for me :-(

I liked Giles in series 4(?) when he felt adrift without a role and I was going through something similar at the time and I identified with him. And I did miss him when he went. Nice house & grounds though;)

It was series four when things changed. I really felt for him in S4 and I really did miss him when he went and was so glad to see him back.
