(no subject)
HOME!
SOOOOOO much has happened since I last posted, most of it rather amusing or slightly interesting...but I will have a detailed entry later. It will be very long. I think.
Here's just a really sappy tidbit:
So on Tuesday, Martin and David were leaving to go home, David at 2:30 and Martin at 4:30. David was waiting for the bus to the airport at Lowell House. Martin was out shopping for an adapter plug for Sweden. I was at home in Hurlbut with Randee. Martin called me and told me to meet him at Lowell House so we could say goodbye to David. So I left Hurlbut, all warm in my coat, the sun shining, and Nada Surf's "Happy Kid" blasting on my iPod. As I neared Lowell House I could see David about a block off in the distance. I started to smile. He was there wrapped in his huge puffy coat and his big black bag. And then Martin came down the side street and met him. I was still about a block off and they didn't see me. I watched Martin go up to David and the two shook hands and hugged. And all of a sudden I wasn't smiling, I was beaming. I love those guys. I love what I've found at Harvard. Two of the best friends, best guys, and best human beings on the planet. I was so happy for that one moment. And then I ran across the street and met them. And we had a group hug. We talked and joked for about 15 minutes, and then we said goodbye to David. Martin and I walked back to Hurlbut together.
That will remain one of my best memories at Harvard, if not in my entire life.
