Update

Well, since I don't post nearly often enough, I think I'm going to make it my New Year's resolution to post daily (or close to daily) for the following year. It isn't that I don't have news, it's just that by the time I get the baby to bed each night, I'm so tired that I don't feel like I have time to post everything I want to.

Anyhow, this is going to be a fairly long post because I do have some stuff to put on.

First of all, I wanted to thank Icalynn for my virtual birthday present. Also, thanks to fehrplay for my virtual Christmas lights (I would have thanked you earlier but I've been in Washington and it's made it impossible for me to view my virtual gift from my Crackberry, which has only had spotty access from where I was at. I also want to thank Truelovepooh and muffinkath for my birthday wishes, as well as majiklmoon for my birthday wishes on FB.

I had a great Christmas in Anacortes and got some really good booty:

  • A new dell laptop which is wicked fast and pink
  • An Amazon Kindle DX
  • A LCD printer
  • A new purse and matching wallet from Nine West
  • Two black sweaters
  • Lots of socks (I LOVE SOCKS!), underwear, and bras (the last of which I really really needed because even though I'm no longer breastfeeding, I'm a very big D-cup now)
  • Gift cards to Borders (which I already spent today on The Hollow by Jessica Verday and Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews, which I've never actually read), Amazon and Starbucks
  • $400
  • DVD's: Harry Potter 6 and Julie & Julia
  • Spa Soaps which smell delicious
  • A beautiful aboriginal barret
And I know I'm forgetting some stuff, but it's all being shipped down right now from WA, so I can't remember it all.

The baby got a mountain (literally two large boxes) full of clothes, three pairs of shoes, two pairs of slippers, some toys, movies (which she doesn't even watch yet, but Mommy bought her UP and Monsters vs. Aliens) a $100 saving's bond, and a college fund set up with $2000, which is just freaking cool!

For my birthday, Jim took me out to dinner last night. The laptop was my Christmas/Birthday combo gift. Jim's parents got me a new bed set for our guest room and new towels for the guest bathroom, along with a print to go on the wall, which they're going to matt and frame when they come in February.

In other news, I need to update my reading list since I do have more to add to it:

    38. Generation Dead by Daniel Waters
    39. Poison Ink by Christopher Golden
    40. Vamped by Lucienne Diver
    41. Oh My Gods by Tera Lynn Childs
    42. Goddess Boot Camp by Tera Lynn Childs
    43. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
    44. City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

    48. The Morganville Vampires: Dead Girls' Dance by Rachel Caine
    49. The Morganville Vampires: Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine
    50. The Morganville Vampires: Feast of Fools by Rachel Caine
    51. The Morganville Vampires: Lord of Misrule by Rachel Caine
    52. The Morganville Vampires: Carpe Corpus by Rachel Caine
    53. Immortal by Various Authors
    54. Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning
    55. Dark Guardians: Moonlight by Rachel Hawthorne

    58. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
    59. Tempted by P.C. and Kristen Cast
    60. A Touch of Dead by Charlaine Harris

And I'm sure I've forgotten one or two, but that's the way it goes. I'm reading Morganville Vampires 7 right now, along with a few others and have many more on my list.

Tonight, we're going to my sister's house for a New Year's party, which should be nice. The idea of me staying up until midnight makes me laugh, since I've been going to bed around 8:30 lately, but I'm sure going to try.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!
