The last few days I've been panicy over money and my trip to America. This is mainly due to me not having any money, owing a few bills and such. This has been calmed substancually. I finally emailed my dad, the first time in months since our argument. Not only was his reply quick, but it was forgiving. After a few electronic exchanges I brought up that I wanted to go out to America this year, specifically Chicago to visit some friends, when he reminded me that he had a few air miles that I could have free reign over, as he wasn't going to use them, so if I wanted I could. Marku kindly did a bit of research into the whole Air Miles thing, and quick discovered that a round trip to Chicago would cost about 6000 Air Miles. My dad is offering me a hand of 72,000 Air Miles. So yes, the trip is saved! I am much happy.
The only thing I have to do now, is save up money for the hire car, and spending money. And choosing my hire car. Originally I'd planned on hiring a brand new Ford Mustang, but alas the company that offered the service no longer offers the Mustang. My choices are the following; A
Chrysler 300, a
Chrysler PT Cruiser, a
Ford Focus or a
Ford Explorer. I could take the cheaper route and use Air Miles again and get a bog standard car, but I'd like something interesting to drive.
It also looks like I can use the Air Miles for my trip to France. As the EuroStar is mentioned, as are ferries. I freaking love Air Miles! Ooh I've just remembered that the guys over at the
PoweriserPages forums were talking about a "Bocking-booze-cruise-weekend" at some point this year. Awesome!
