Washington's minimum wage with increase from $7.63 to $7.93 on January 1st, 2007.
THIS IS HUGE.
Washington has the highest minimum wage in the nation. It is currently 33% higher than the nations minimum wage (a staggering $5.15) and after the first of the new year, it will become 36% higher than the federal minimum wage.
To all those working at minimum wage (including myself!):
Be thankful for the wage you have. You could be doing the same work for $5.15 an hour.
