Tori Amos last night in Vail and Airport Madness
We got to Vail at 11am to wait in line for the General Admission show. While waiting we made plenty of new friends, as most of the fans were from the Denver/Boulder area. Saw Rhett Miller a few times walking around, Jeska was sure it was him, but I wasn't positive, he looked so young.
Got inside, and got 2nd row center, it was sweet!

Yes, she did a third encore! It was a great show, the sound was perfect, Rhett Miller was fantastic, and got to meet him after the show.
Then after the show, we got home late (2am or so) Jeska had to be on a 7:30 flight this morning to go to Detroit. Next thing I know I am woken up by a frantic Jeska saying that it's 620 in the morning and she throws shit into her suitcase and we are off running. I knew there was no way she was going to make the flight. New rules say if you have to check baggage you have to be there by 45 minutes prior to flight. The way to the airport, I'm throwing shit into her backpack and camera bag, so she can just bring carry-on and we got there at like 7:00.
I had to stay outside because you can't leave a car unattended, so I'm playing with the suitcase to pretend I'm still unpacking, hoping she'll come out and tell me all is fine. I ask a smoker outside to pretend it's her car, and run inside to the Spirit ticket office and ask if Jeska's on her way and she says yeah, but if she had checked baggage she would have been out of luck... Go me and my fast thinking!
So it looks like Jeska is on her way to Detroit for a few days, and I'm left to my devices. In the meantime I'm listening to the show, and the recording seems great right now, particularly considering the heavy bass at her shows.
