how to write and perform a poem for a bard college open mic night:
1) say fuck
2) talk about sex
3) bash bush
4) wear a corduroy blazer
5) if possible, play acoustic guitar very well and sing very poorly
i love it here.
i need to talk to sam. our schedules are poorly aligned. i think i can call him sometime between 4 and 7, leaving room for a meal, grabbing my mail, maybe doing some work, etc.
i just had a meeting with my teacher -- excuse me, professor -- about my "portfolio"
it was reassuring
this whole l&t thing is very foreign to me
i never had a decent english class
which is partially my fault, because i never chose to take AP
and your class is only as good as the people in it, right?
but we never talked about our writing
and certainly never read our writing
and definitely never did any creative writing
so now i'm working to break out of that linear structure
she told me i have a unique voice
and encouraged me to speak more
and even to read at our l&t readings
hahahaha like that's going to happen
i'm going to drink my 75-cent half-caff and finish my reading before my 10:30 class
