stuck in the mud

so i have this paper due in one week. 10-20 pages. i'm not finished with all my research. i just found some more sources today. obviously i haven't read them yet. i have a little more than one page of an introduction written. i just can't seem to wrest it out of me.

aaaaahhh! if i could just get started...

so i finally gave in and registered for facebook. decided to do it since i'm leaving greensboro soon. and since nathan actually registered for it before me. so far i've found: long lost friends from high school in georgia, long lost friends from church camp in '99, a friend from preschool, my first ever boyfriend in the 6th grade, people that i went to middle school with that now go to vanderbilt... some of my friends are engaged, some couples are still together after six years or so, my friend michael is dating a girl named hannah that i went to middle school with, one friend ended up at columbia in new york, another dropped out of high school after i moved but ended back up in college...

anyway, interesting to see how people have changed, where they've gone, what they look like. i never would have thought i'd join facebook, but it's put me in touch with a lot of people i'd probably never see again. people i'd forgotten about. i would never have recognized some of them.

guess i ought to go give it another try on my paper...... god help me.
