I knew it why I liked it here - they have even a Men's Day here (Männer Tag) :P Yesterday was Männer Tag, of course most of the people had day off, so they could go out, get drunk, party, etc. You could see guys on bikes, or with different self made forms of transport, with music playing loud, wearing silly hats, and of course they were drunk, or in the process of. We went out for a little drive, we saw these 5 or 6 guys - they had a wooden platform, pulled and pushed by bikes, on the platform a garden plastic bench, on it sitting two guys. There's also, here in the region, a fair where you can get married (for a day). It's actually fun to see all that. The not so fun part is that some get drunk and then go driving, like this one we saw on the road, driving in the middle of the road, almost causing an accident.
Anyway, more pics from Frauenstein
I think the town should be called Katzenstein, not Frauenstein, because we saw there more cats than we saw people.
Near the ruins there was this little wood, very beautiful, very dense, and very green.
And, of course, a lot of flowers. The air was really perfumed, most of the times, though. These flowers in the pic actually stank :P
Like most of the fortresses, Frauenstein was built on the top of a hill. The view from there is fantastic.
The ruins again, view from the other side.
Not far, the little town. Houses, and, of course, cats.
This one here was really friendly, and seemed happy to see us. She even started to purr.
Unlike other places, in Germany, or at least in our parts here, they have loads of lilac bushes, different colors and shades.
The watchman... errr... cat, at the entry of the complex of ruins.
Not a human being, just him there, keeping an eye on things.
The tower of the "newer" building near the ruins.
As we went there, we saw on our way this body of water, and decided that on our way home to stop there a bit. So we did. There's our lil car.
The water, so beautiful, and calm. There were some ducks, also, but rather far from where we were.
The woods surrounding the water. Looking really magical.
Well, that's it for now.
