Hahaha Got you all R+ fans all hyped up :P It's not about R+. It's about a little town that it is actually called Frauenstein. And there are the oldest ruins in the region here. But, before going on about that...
HAPPY TRENT REZNOR DAY EVERYONE :P
So, back to the topic.
Yesterday Gaby and I went to this place, to Frauenstein. The trip was very beautiful, and the area is absolutely gorgeous too. Unfortunately, when we tried to see the ruins, they had closed :P Yeah, the access can be done only through a museum, and that one was closed. Never the less, managed to take some pics.
In the middle of the town, the tower of the church. When we arrived, the town looked like deserted. Almost no one was on the streets. This is how it is in small towns here, in Saturdays afternoon.
In Frauenstein lived this famous Church Organs manufacturer, and therefore the citizens erected him a monument. It is a nice little metal statue, from which pours water, and if you press on that button, music starts playing. Now, as probabily in the past some tried to drink the water pouring from the statue, the authorities put the sign "Kein Trinkwasser" (The water is not potable). Also, probabily those that made this sign were good at many things except spelling, since the word for "press" - "drücken" is spelled "drücknen".
And this is the monument, which personally I like.
As I said, the place was like deserted. Gaby pressed that button, and music and a voice explaining stuff started to play, which made the whole piazza resound. The music was nice, it was Bach played on instruments built buy this guy. Probably those living there were thinking "Those damn tourists, again!"
A larger view over the centrum of the town. It started to get animated.
And since it's May, all the beautiful flowers in bloom.
The old "Burg" is made of some really old ruins near which some buildings were, well, built, few hundreds years later. In these buildings there's the museum I mentioned. Since we couldn't get in, we walked around the place.
A broken window, that Gaby liked.
The more recent building near the ruins.
Thze old walls. Took many pics of them,
cause I like the shadows on them and the colors.
That's it for now. More, soon.
