I see the hell you put yourself through...

Sometimes you realize that people are not the way you expected them to be/think/react regarding a certain matter. Sometimes you fear, not the worst, but not expect a positive reaction in any case. And then... surprise! You get one of the most positive reactions, that just makes your day. How many times have you wondered why things are this way and that way? It happened to me, so many, many times, that something to happen and then to reach the conclusion "Yes, this it's why it's like this!". On the other hand, people who claimed to be my friends let me down. And people wonder why I'm skeptical when comes about Internet friendships. But these are good too, because those are the moments when you see who is worth and who isn't.

I still didn't get my head around completely after this vacation, it's like I have to readjust to the world over here. But things are good so far. Very good. :D

And now some pics. From Dresden.

Besides the Frauenkirche, another big church downtown Dresden is Kreuzkirche. The inside is just as gorgeous. Very simple, but beautiful, with some curves that reminded me of Gaudi's work.

Inside, with the altar.

The curves I was talking about.

Front facade detail. (It has one of the hugest doors I've ever seen. Old buildings in Germany have really huge doors, makes you feel like a dwarf in the giants' country).

Another detail. I don't get it why some parts are so dark and some like brand new. Maybe it's some restoration work.

Haus Altmarkt. It was a restaurant inside, but I liked the building.

In Germany, many stores display some of the merchandise (usually when it's a sales offer) outside. For me it was strange (my first thought, "what if someone tries to steal it?"), because I haven't seen this except in the case of veggies stores and souvenirs stores. But this clothing shop had this original idea with the jeans on the wire.

While they were excavating to build a I don't know what, they discovered these ruins underground, downtown Dresden.

One of the streets in the old town.

And a nostalgic. Apparently he's there daily, with his flag. I don't remember if he was only talking or was selling some printed stuff too. Hm...

That's it for now. Have fun ;)

(BTW, if you look in some of my Trent old posts and the pics don't work, is because I deleted the pics from the place where they were hosted.)
