I taste like 2am.

The past week has been ungodly hectic/brilliant/amazetastic/fun/shambolic/etc.

I spent a fair chunk of last weekend (not the one that just ended, but the other one) dancing around in my underwear ("Can I come dance around in your underwear with you?") and meeting people who lived in Holloway. Oh my god.

Kamla came out on Wednesday, and we went to Off The Wall at Hi-Dive for drinking and dancing, and man oh man. My legs were so sore after that.....erm....we danced for hours to amazing shit like Prince, Soft Cell, RUN DMC, and other brilliant 80s-90s classics. Jason Heller is an amazing DJ. The best, though, was when some guy came up to us with a look of absolute "pleaseohpleasegodpleasesayyes" kind of desperation and asked us if we were lesbians.......Honestly, I'm surprised that one hasn't come sooner.

Thursday, we played Tex in a Scrabble match of champions. Or rather, Tex and his roommate are champions and Kamla and I ganged up on them. We beat Tex the first time (which is impossible) but he beat us the second with a complete bullshit triple-word score. Bastard. And we were up by 80 points after our first turn. That's how cool we are.

Friday, I got to DJ at Lipgloss, and even though I was on at 9:30, there were plenty of people there who kept coming up to me the rest of the night to tell me that I had the best set of the whole night and why on earth wasn't I on later or all night, for that matter. What an ego boost, to be sure. The guy from the previous weekend, the one from Holloway, said I made him feel at home, so that's good. I got to steal Fil's hat, which made me feel at home, so that's even better. A few people came down from Boudler (Alex, Emily, Catherine and Seamus) and that was cool.

Sunday, we saw Eagles of Death Metal, who aren't very good, and the Strokes, who are good but sound exactly like the records when they play live. It was an odd show, because it was 16+ and so there were lots of drunk 16-year olds running around and jumping on my poor broken toe. After that, though, I finally made it up to the Skylark to see Johnathan DJ, which was super nice (and Tim and Andy were there and that was fun) and I found out they have Strongbow on tap, so that's fucking brilliant, as it's way closer to my house than fucking Conor's in Boulder. So High Five for me.

Kamla left today, and that sucks.

AND: I am of the opinion that everyone should get the She Wants Revenge album. Seriously, it's amazing. I want it to fuck me raw, then tie me up and beat me, then cuddle me to sleep, and then do it all over again and again. It's that kind of album.
