wow last night night was....too crazy. and this hangover definitely reminds just how crazy it was. but im actually glad it happened cause it really helped me decide what my position is on drinking. i loved it and did it practically every weekend freshman year, but then slowed down in the summer. sure being drunk is fun as hell sometimes, but last night i couldnt help thinking how if i had to choose between the two, id rather smoke. smoking opens your mind, it lets you be creative, it lets you appreciate the simple things, like music and friends. being shitfaced and swimming in a random pond near JP....doesnt accomplish anything. thats why i think that people back in the late 20s (i think?) had the right idea when they made alcohol illegal. marijuana needs to be legalized, and alcohol needs to be illegalized. ultimately, i think that would be the best idea. but im a realist, and i know that alcohol is probably never going to be made illegal. therefore, im a strong supporter of the legalization of marijuana. its the peace drug, a drug that would never bring the sort of violence, hatred, depression, and addiction that alcohol does, and people should not be discriminated against and arrested for making the better, healthier choice. marijuana should be sold rolled in joints, just like a pack of cigarettes, with an age limit. nothing that can alter your state of mind should be available to children, so i think an age limit of 16 would be good. the day you can drive, youre responsible enough to decide whether or not you want to smoke marijuana. there are so many pro-legalization reasons, like the multiple uses of hemp, and how much legalization would boost the economy. well if youve actually had the patience to read this whole entry, i hope you agree with me and youll help other people see it this way too. keep the peace.
