Upcoming House vote
Last post of the day, I promise.
The HofR will be voting soon to reduce interest rates for student borrowers (H.R.5). This bill would cut the interest rate on subsidized undergraduate student loans from 6.8% to 3.4%. Please, please, please write your congressman to say that you are for this interest cut, if it's cut more people will be able to pay their bills upon graduation.
Am extremely happy votes for a minimum wage hike and more funding for stem cell research have passed. Not passed all the way yet, I know, but am happy anyway. Especially since my congressman voted against them. Hiss.
