Ah Nadia, you silver-tongued devil.

I think I may have offended some of my dear friends with the Mormon Farm (tm) comment. Tacky. Especially since I have nothing against people who practice any faith the best they can. What I meant by that is that I noticed that with the exception of people who live in different states, I had maybe 1 or 2 friends who weren't Mormon out here in the desert that I play with regularly. I wasn't like that back in DC. And I know it's b/c I'm not in college so I don't have a lot of exposure to non-Mormons, but I've never been the type of girl who was comfortable having just one kind of friend. Hence the the multi-social group bouncing. And while there are many, many different kinds of Mormons, I think I lost perspective re: people with different belief systems. So I'm attempting to rectify the situation by actively seeking out people who aren't Mormon so I can have more of a well-rounded view of life and not just accept cultural stuff. It's what made my faith so strong before I moved out here, and what made it far easier to blow off silly people who make awful mistakes.

Never meant to imply that my nearest and dearest who are also Mormon weren't adorable, cuddly, and mean everything to me b/c they're my friends. I love you guys.

And with that said, I went out to play with Jermy last night. Twas fun. We accompanied the 3rd grade class at the private school he teaches at for a star-watching program. Imagine 25 third graders in jammies with blankets spread out on the ground outside looking up at the sky. And there were 4 high-powered portible telescopes for everyone to peer through. I saw Saturn and its rings, Jupiter, a comet, Venus, and a bunch of other stars up close. In addition to being adopted by 5 or 6 3rd graders, who I was on chatty basis by the time I left. Oh yeah, and playing with Jeremy was fun, too. ;) Then we went to go see "Shrek 2," my second time in viewing. Caught a couple of new funny bits (the animators are so subtle at points, how fabulous). And btw "Ever Fallen In Love" was originally sung by the Buzzcocks, if yer interested. Did anyone notice the portrait to the left of the door to Fiona's room was of the woman from AB FAB dressed as a queen?

Afterwards went back to his hacienda and played Apples To Apples with his roommates and others and watched the video to Erasure's "Come Up And See Me (Make Me Smile)" which always makes me happy b/c there's liederhosen and gnomes in it. Two thumbs way up to Jeremy for entertaining me.

Man, why am I still sleepy?
