Hello everybody~ =D I'm back from Cameron Highlands. ♥♥
I spent about four days there with my grandparents and
06seconds_left . The weather was lovely. So cool, and it rained every evening. ♥ It wasn't so good for the grandparents though, cause it made their joints ache. >.< But my grandma was well prepared. She'd brought an extra thick blanket with her, so that helped a bit.
I am however, ashamed to see that the quality of the food establishments up there were incredibly poor. >.< It was awful. Horrible service, and the place was so unclean. The fork and spoons weren't washed properly, they took forever to bring us our orders, and didn't seem to grasp the concept of kurang manis. Agh! It's not difficult y'know?! Just put in less sugar/condensed milk. Idiots. It's really ridiculous. I mean, it's supposed to be a tourist destination, so I would think that the standards, if not higher, ought to at least be maintained. This is not the face of Malaysia I want the tourist to see. *fumefumeangryangry*
On a lighter note, the strawberries were wonderful! So ripe, juicy and fresh. ♪ And at only a fraction of the price back home. I had strawberries for breakfast, strawberries for tea, strawberries for late night snacks! Strawberries while watching horror movies. (we watched Silence of the Lambs, 100 Feet and The Exorcism of Emily Rose in our room)
Ever since
silvestris posted about the purple anthurium she found, I've had an unexplained urge to learn the names of common flowers. So, I took this opportunity to snap lots of pictures of pretty flowers at the numerous nurseries there. =D The part of the plan that doesn't work is that these flowers are not labelled. Most of them anyway, so I didn't actually learn very much. My grandma bought a couple of hydrangeas ♥♥ and I got a bunch of cacti. We've never had much luck with cacti in the past, but hey...they're really cute. And maybe these will survive a little longer.
06seconds_left has adopted a funny looking one with a bulbous base, scant leaves, and a rather...lopsided stem. Apparently, it called out to her. She's named it Jamal. ♪ Mine reminds me of Marly. I shall name it Marly.
random flowers are pretty
My camera has an annoying habit of resetting the date if not used for a couple of weeks, so some of my pictures are dated 3 weeks off of when they were actually taken. This messes up my archiving. >.< Other than that, I'm glad to be back~
