[Even after being in Somarium for about a month or so, Euphie still wasn't quite accustomed to how things worked. Having things revert back to the 1920s a week or two after arriving certainly didn't help her confusion either.
And the whole dead people being brought back to life here aspect? Not the easiest pill to swallow, especially when your

With Clovis, he didn't care, the man had always been a bother and he would have no problem shooting him at point blank range again. But Euphemia? He loved her, he still does love her, he always had and always will. And he never planned on killing her, he didn't want her to die, but it was necessary and sometimes drastic measures have to be taken to further the lives and goals of others.
However, this is Somarium, where the boundaries created by death are ripped apart and no longer significant in one's life.
Now is as good a time as any to talk to her, right? Ah, their relationship will only be based on lie after lie after beautiful lie from this point onward. It's a shame, but it can't be helped.]Each month is welcomed with the arrival of new residents, Euphemia, ( ... )

Despite having seen him right before arriving in Somarium, she feels as though it's been years since she last saw Lelouch, saw her beloved brother. And who knows, maybe it has been years since she's seen the true Lelouch -- the one she met again on Kaminejima merely reminiscent of the little boy she spent her days with as a youth.
The thought of being reunited with her brother and sister long thought to be dead -- this time for good (hopefully) -- was enough to bring tears to her eyes. She gave no thought to the fact that Lelouch was also Zero, who was responsible for the death of another of her dear brothers, Clovis. No, that wasn't the way she wanted to remember either of her brothers.
So with a shaky smile, she speaks to him, teasing:]Brother, don't you know it's not polite to keep a lady waiting? I've been here a month and ( ... )

My apologies, my dearest sister, but I've been a bit indisposed since your arrival and have only recently had the opportunity to contact you. Would you please forgive me?

Of course I forgive you, Lelouch! I could never be mad at my dearest big brother.
[Upon hearing that he had been indisposed for so long, however, she frowns a bit.]
But you say you've been unwell? Is everything alright?...

Well, I wasn't what I would consider sick, but I was extremely unavailable. People in Somarium go into some sort of extended sleep... I think I was asleep for nearly two weeks! [A bit of a laugh] Aside from that, I've been perfectly fine.

Oh! I suppose that's just another one of the strange things about Somarium. But I'm certainly glad to hear you've been well, brother. Even if it hasn't been long for me since I've last seen you, I've missed you dearly.

[A small smile]
I trust you're well?

You've been here for nearly a year? And... you were alone for most of your time here? I'm sorry to hear that brother, but at least now we can all be together again, as a family. Nunnally as well, since she arrived right before I did!
I'm a bit disoriented from whatever happened a few weeks ago, but I'm much better now that I've seen you again, Lelouch.

[However, his enjoyment of Somarium has slowly started to decline thanks to the recent arrivals of Schneizel, Clovis, Euphemia herself (He's glad to see her, yes, but her being here is problematic), Suzaku (to a degree), and Kallen. Nunnally is the only person that he actually wanted to see in Somarium aside from C.C., who has been a resident since before his arrival.]
Disoriented from what happened a few weeks ago? I've... I've been here so long, I don't think I know what you're talking about. How embarrassing!

[Of course, Euphie would never suspect that her dear brother found her presence problematic, since she has no clue that he (accidentally) Geassed and killed her. Now, Clovis, on the other hand - she can see how that would be an awkward reunion.]
Oh it was quite strange! Everything appeared as though it went back in time and everyone was acting different. I've been told that such events are quite commonplace here in Somarium.

The particular instance you're talking about, though, happened while I was affected by that deep sleep. I was a bit sad that I missed it, but I'm sure something just as exciting will come along in due time. Things like that are fairly commonplace in Somarium.

[A light giggle.]
Yes, you had mentioned being asleep for some time. But I'm sure you'll get your chance to experience another strange event soon enough then!

I've experienced many before your arrival! I hope I don't have to experience anything like that in the upcoming weeks, but the stillness and regularity of life always makes me uneasy... The longer things stay calm like this, the more we seem to suffer when something happens.
