There's far to much light pollution where I live to see the meteor shower.

It's a bit cloudy here, the moon is incredibly bright this year, there's smoke from a fire in Santa Barbara, and there's quite a bit of light pollution from the city (and surrounding cities) bouncing off said smoke and fog.

Ironically the company that resides in my city has switched their search page logo to a Perseid themed one.

They claim that the meteors will be around till the 24th so if you get lucky, you might be able to see a few.

Managed to catch a couple last night while parked with the sunroof open. I couldn't get any on camera, but I did get some really cool photos that look like NASA deep space photos (or the intros to Star Trek series after TOS if you'd prefer).
