I have to say, Grey's Anatomy is being highly upsetting these days, what with the idea that they would kill Meredith. MEREDITH. The "Grey" in "Grey's Anatomy." You would think that major networks would learn, one of these days, that killing major characters off some of their top rated shows only leads down one road -- imminent cancellation. (See: The O.C., Alias.)

Plus who will I identify with? Who will be all dark and twisty and mirror my life??

Speaking of cancellations, the O.C.'s season finale is next week and I'm actually upset about it. Sure, the O.C. has gone completely downhill since the middle of season 3, since which it has killed its most popular character and gotten cancelled, jumping about a thousand sharks in the process. (I refuse to believe that California has about five earthquakes per hour -- and if they really DO, why haven't we seen any other earthquakes in FOUR WHOLE SEASONS?!) But it was a good show, once upon a time, and I actually will miss it. I won't miss Kirsten's annoying constipated facial expressions, though. But I will most definitely miss Peter Gallagher's eyebrows. Those things were off the CHAIN.

Saw Pan's Labyrinth today -- it was AWESOME. And this is coming from the wimpiest person ever. I'm not huge on gore or horror, and this combined both (it was highly gory, and VERY scary... I found myself burying my head in my friend Jake's shoulder more than once), but surprisingly, I loved it. The star, Ivana Baquero, was incredible too. Hopefully she'll grow up to be a great actress and not be some coked-up child star stereotype who ends up doing infomercials.
