Gatlinburg Trip
It's official! The dates for our gathering in Gatlinburg are May 16 - 19, leaving on Sunday the 20th. This is where we'll be staying. A big thanks to my mom for loaning us the house. I can't wait!

If I left anybody out, let me know -- I can be scatterbrained. And we can probably squeeze in a couple more if anyone else is interested.
I've had questions from both ends of the spectrum: "Since this is a 'writer's retreat,' are we just going to sit around and write all the time?" and "Will we be so busy sightseeing that we won't have any time to write?" I'm hoping for a balance between the two. I'd like to spend an afternoon in Cade's Cove (if you look at the picture, that's the mountain from "Deeper" in the background, covered in snow.) I've got my mom busy looking for a trail we can hike that won't be too much of a challenge for me and anyone else who's a girly-girl(hee!), but one that will get us to the top of a mountain. The view will be totally worth it. I'm hoping we'll also have time to take a day trip to the Biltmore Estate; the house, the gardens in the spring, even the drive over the mountains are all breathtaking. I'm guessing that we'll be watching Ep. 21 (the one right before the finale) together on Wednesday nite, and then the other nights can be for brainstorming and writing. I hope the mountains will inspire us, but we can write about anything our muses want. Be sure they come along on the trip!
