I'm sorry Ray, I know how much you want to write me. But frankly, I can't handle writing with someone who uses your style. It's not really your fault, but most of your lines are "*dialogue*" *name* said, *Actioning*. I just can't read like that, much less write a jpint fic with someone who writes like that. It killes me a little inside, it really does. So I tend to avoid it. I really do like your ideas and sharing ideas with someone helps me quite a bit in getting them petered out, but it's just that I can't handle your style. I remember you saying once that your dad thought you needed to work on descriptions. He's right. Learn some different vocabulary for your really common words, at least.
That said, your characters tend to rule the screen whenever you write. My goal as a writer bringing new characters in is to still manage to make most if not all of the plot happen, if differently. You tend to utterly change things to whatever you want, and that's fine, it's what AU fanfiction is all about, changing the story to whatever you want. But I don't work like that, I change things after the fact and make theories, not changing the main plot of the item itself. To me, it feels like a betrayal of the author, and the story woven by the canon material.
So pardon my avoidence of things I can't deal with as a writer. I do have others things I can say, but I don't feel like them now... Maybe tomorrow... But now I must rest. Again, I really do want to write with you, excepting the fact that they tend to rule the screen, your chacters are AWESOME, but it's just a little much for me. I do understand that you do the best you can with the tools you've been given... Maybe a creative writing class for you next year? I really think you could benefit from it, and as far as I know, they don't disallow fanfiction... Even if they do, I think you'd be just as good at the original fiction as fandom. You're definately got enough characters to use. YD
